Soulsa Café
There
is a wee spot in town where I like to enjoy that old soul funk. A place called: Soulsa
Café. Situated in Glasgow’s city centre, and run by possibly, the best
staff ever, this gaff is highly
recommended – by me! And probably a lot of other people too. What’s not to
love: the music, the décor and the grub.
The
music:
Playing
only the best tunes – this is a great
spot to relax. Who can’t beat a wee bit of Al Green or even Aretha Franklin as
they eat, drink or even study – like me.
The
décor:
A
neat and cosy place. Dimmed lights, not too bright – giving a very relaxed
atmosphere to the café. Plenty of seats to choose from, or even the couch
corner for extra relaxation. Covering the walls is funky art – hand drawn
and simply nothing short of brilliant. See below:
The
grub:
Where
to start… O M G. The scran in here is to die
for. An extensive menu for such a small place, there is so much choice.
From burgers, sandwiches, salads, nachos and their speciality Soulsa Baha’s –
what is not to love. I can honestly say that everything I have had in here –
has been top class.
They
have even just went and recently got their liquor licence! I’d imagine that
this will be a great turn for the café – especially at the weekends. Weekends
offer open mic nights, open to all to show off their talents. Regular DJ’s too
– playing again, only the best. There’s even food and drink deals to take
advantage of! Also classic and speciality cocktails (in which I am choking to
try, but I am always driving ☹ ) Even check these new promos!! (and the funky wifi password) Great offers and prices for being right in the heart of town...
Honestly
guys, I’ve nothing left to say but – PLEASE GO!! You will not regret it x
Soulsa
Café: Glasgow’s hidden gem.
